Fun with food poisoning

It's been so long since I've updated here. Spending last night curled around the base of my toilet seems as good of a reason as any to start writing again.

B-Bar: the garden is gorgeous, but usually the crowd is eurotrashy enough to make the venue altogether avoidable. If you go at the right time, however -- early evening, 6ish, the time when your grandparents eat -- you can miss the skanky crowds and just enjoy some sangria in the shade.

But do not, DO NOT order the oysters. Yes, I know I shouldn't be so stupid as to order oysters from a place that peaked in the 90s, but I did. Twice, actually, in the past month. And both times I ended up being all sorts of sick in the bathroom for the rest of the night. Spectacular displays of digestive disarray, and I'm only sharing because of the intensity with which my body rejected absolutely everything in it. Sorry.

The first time this happened, I was ill within maybe 4 hours of eating; last night's episode was a full day after I'd eaten the oysters. I can't think of anything else I ate that was suspect, so I'm going to blame the oysters for this most recent incident as well. It could happen 24 hours after the fact, right? I mean, I very rarely get sick like this. There has to be a connection.

Whatever. After thinking about this, I hate B-Bar altogether. Stupid fucking garden.
