Back to the Future

You can get hired at a big fancy magazine all you want, but you are who you are. And so I'm writing Vanity Fair's new Oscar blog, Little Gold Men. It's no Carpetbagger or Envelope, but it's our first try at blogging on VF.com (excluding the inimitable Mr. Wolcott's blog, which just might exist on a plane higher than that of the magazine itself). So do be gentle with me, as I've not been on the bicycle in a few months -- which, in blog time, is like a few years. Plus, I have to write in the first person, I can't use words like "douchebag" or phrases like "horse-fucking," and I have to sign my posts. As you can imagine, this is all very difficult for me.

At any rate, it's 4:45 on a Tuesday and I'm home, blogging in my pajamas. I'd say I'm back to where I started, but I was able to shower this morning.
